I am a staff data scientist at Premise Data.
I enjoy bringing products from ideation to R&D to production.
Recently, I recently led multiple projects that leverage custom NLP and LLM models on text and videos. One project finds insights from over 6 million daily videos of survey takers. Another project listens to the news and social media to detect threats in real-time in over 140 countries.
I have a PhD in Resource Management & Environmental Studies from the University of British Columbia, and over 10 years of applied research experience in research technology, international development, and global security. I am an end-to-end data scientist who is well-versed in Python, R, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and Argo.
